Sephora and Mecca Haul

I went shopping! Just a disclaimer that you will find a lot of hauls in the first year of this blog as I build up my collection. Hopefully it will calm down after a while…

I went to Sephora and Mecca in Myer on Pitt St in Sydney with my sister. I bought a few things I had had my eye on for a while, plus a few things that grabbed my fancy on the day.

Amika Nourishing Mask. This is a beautiful hair mask. It smells amazing, like absolutely divine, and leaves my hair beautifully soft. I purchased one of these travel sizes in June 2015 and adored it, so had to buy another one.

Tarte Amazonian Clay Full Coverage Airbrush Foundation in Fair Honey. I have read rave reviews of this powder foundation so I had to get it! I have only ever used the Bare Minerals Original Mineral Foundation, so am excited to try another powder foundation.

Coast to Coast Ultra Gentle Facial Polish Wild Rosella and Oatmeal. I had never heard of this brand before, but it was stocked at Sephora and it is an Australian brand so I thought I would give it a go. It was the most gentle out of all the scrubs and is for Normal/Dry skin.

Bite Beauty Mini Dual Ended Luminous Crème Lipstick. Leading up to Christmas Bite Beauty brought out this mini double ended lipstick with the shades Fig (which is a beautiful neutral pinky shade, I’m thinking a my lips but better shade) and Date (which is more of a neutral brown tone shade). I had only ever tried the Agave Lip Mask from Bite Beauty and thought these little mini lipsticks was a great way to try a few shades.

Bumble and Bumble Hairdresser’s Invisible Oil Heat/UV Protective Primer. I am a sucker for the mini products they have at the counters. Such a sucker. I have never tried any Bumble and Bumble products before but heard they were great, so in need of a heat protectant thought I would give this a go!

Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush in Exposed. Oh my god. I love Tarte’s blushes. And this shade is just so beautiful! It is quite a neutral, mauve shade. I think it will look great all year round, but especially in Winter/Autumn. I love the pigmentation and longevity of these blushes.

Lavanila The Healthy Deodorant. I needed a deodorant. This was at the counter. I got it. I have actually heard good things about this brand of deodorant from Estee Lalonde (formerly Essie Button) and Kathleen Lights. It is 100% natural, so I’m curious to see how well it works.

Tarte Amazonian Butter Lipstick in Coral Blossom. This is a beautiful bright coral colour lipstick. It smells like mint which is nice and refreshing. I love the way these lipsticks go on, keep my lips hydrated and fade nicely. I hate lipsticks that fade patchy or weirdly and need constant touching up. Although this does need touching up, it fades really nicely so I don’t need to worry too much about it.

So that was my haul! Thanks for reading. Comment below if you have tried any of these products and if you have any tips for using them!

  1. Thanks for the like on my 2015 favorites post! I absolutely love Tarte products and I haven’t tried that foundation, so I hope you write a review! The deodorant I tried years ago and liked it, but it is pricey here (US). If you have the Organix brand in AU, their Coconut Milk serum (mentioned in my favorites post) is a drugstore dupe of your Bumble and Bumble product… actually, I mentioned the exact product in my post 🙂

    Happy New Year!

    1. Thanks. I will write a review of the Tarte foundation once I have given it a good go, which I am very excited to do. Yeah I picked the deodorant up on a whim as it was in the mini/travel section just before the checkout and I had heard of the brand before. Hopefully I will be able to find it again in Australia for not too much money. I will definitely go check out that Organix product. Thanks so much!
