Hello everyone! Instead of doing monthly favourites, I have decided to do seasonal favourites! I find that I do not switch my products enough to warrant doing monthly favourites. By doing seasonal favourites I can guarantee that the product has been well loved over several months. So let’s get into it!
The Body Shop Vineyard Peach Body Butter: Oh my. The smell of this is amazing! Straight up peach. Although I do not necessarily need such a thick body butter for summer, the smell just screams summer so I have been using it a lot!
Dermalogica Ultracalming Mist: This was a great hydrating, calming toner that I used either throughout the day on really hot days, after exercising, after being in the sun or after hot showers. It has a good mist action and a very light fresh scent.
The Body Shop Shimmer Cubes: These were my go to eye shadows for summer. They are all shimmery bronze colours, not very pigmented but can be built up. I used them a lot to create an easy bronze smoky eye.
Bare Minerals Original Mineral Foundation SPF15 in Fair: I have talked about this product before as an easy powder foundation. It is such a quick base to apply and evens out my skin tone nicely.
Neutrogena Rapid Clear 2 in 1 Cleanser Mask: I love this product, but sadly it is not cruelty free. I prefer to use it as a mask although it can be used as a cleanser. It came in handy in the summer when my skin tends to get a little bit more spotty and clogged than usual thanks to the layers of sunscreen I slather on my pale face.
Benefit Coralista Blush: This is a beautiful blush, however sadly it is not cruelty free. The colour is the perfect peachy coral. I actually used this for blush and eye shadow this summer. It was an adventurous look for me but I really liked the coral colour on the eyelids.
Bourjois Maxi Delight Bronzer in 01: This is a great bronzer. It is a really nice warm colour – perfect to make my pale face look like it got some sun. It looks quite shimmery in the pan but that doesn’t translate on the face.
So those were my Summer favourites for 2015-2016. Please feel free to comment below your favourites for the summer or link your summer favourites blog post!
