Hello everyone! Today I will be reviewing the Body Shop Aloe Soothing Night Cream for you guys! You would have just seen it in my Night time skincare routine post which you can read here. As with all skincare, what works for me may not work for you and vice versa. So I picked this up at the end of last year when I was searching for a night cream. I had never used a night cream before, instead I just used to use an oil free moisturiser with no SPF. I talked to the lovely lady at the shop and she recommended either this one or the Vitamin E Night Cream. I ended up picking up the Aloe Soothing Night Cream because we were going into summer and it was a bit lighter than the Vitamin E Night Cream.
I have really enjoyed using this night cream. My skin is fairly normal, sometimes a bit sensitive, sometimes a bit dry in the winter and sometimes a bit oily in the summer, with the odd spots throughout the year. This cream was just perfect to keep my skin moisturised and to soothe any redness or irritation I had due to sun exposure or overloading my face with new products.
Pros: This is a widely available, cruelty free, affordable moisturiser. This moisturiser is soothing on my skin and calms down any redness or irritation I may have. Even when my skin is not irritated I have enjoyed using a moisturiser specifically for sensitive skin because since last year I have been testing a lot more products on my face than normal and don’t want to aggravate my skin with a bad quality moisturiser or one with too many ingredients. If your skin is very sensitive, it should be added that this moisturiser is fragrance, alcohol and colour free. It is a thicker moisturiser than I am used to, but it sinks in well.
Cons: The only possible downside to this moisturiser is that it contains shea butter which can irritate acne prone skin on some people.
Price: $27.95 AUD
Available: The Body Shop in store or online here.
Rating: 8.5/10

Thanks so much for reading! How are you finding the Vitamin C line? I would love to try another range of Body Shop Products. As you say, they are great for sensitive skin and also cruelty free!
