Hello everyone! Welcome to my blog, thanks for reading! Today’s post is my go-to makeup look for work. It is an easy, simple look using a handful of products. I have been wearing this pretty consistently to work over the last few weeks. Just a quick note that these products are a mixture of old non cruelty-free makeup and newer cruelty free makeup.
First up is the Clinique Superbalanced Makeup in 27 Alabaster. This was my first liquid foundation, so it is a bit old which is why I am trying to use it up but it is lovely. It has a nice sheer coverage which can be built up to medium. It feels a little tacky when you first put it in soon loses that feeling. It doesn’t cling to dry patches either which is great for my skin at the moment which is weirdly spotty and dry…
To go on top of the base I use the Body Shop Honey Bronzer in 01 Light Matte and the Tarte Amazonian Clay 12 Hour Blush in Exposed. The bronzer goes around my temples, just under my cheekbones and along my jawline. But honestly it usually ends up all over the face to warm up my pale complexion. Then I use the blush on the apples on my cheecks taking it back towards the hairline. This is a beautiful pigmented blush that goes with any look.
I then use a little of the bronzer in the crease of my eyelids and finish my eyes off with some mascara. At the moment I am using the Maybelline Full’N’Soft Waterproof Mascara which gives a your lashes but better look, which is perfect for work. I don’t like anything too dramatic.
Lastly I use the Clinique Chubby Stick Intense Moisturising Lip Colour Balm in 04 Heftiest Hibiscus on my lips. Instead of going straight from the bullet because it is quite pigmented, I use my finger to make more of a stain. I find this creates a softer look and it fades nicer and more evenly throughout the day. I usually only touch up the lips once throughout the day after lunch.
So that is my go-to work makeup. Hope you liked it and it gave you some ideas. Please feel free to comment below your favourite go-to work makeup looks or products.
