Hello again! This is part 2 in a mini series on my top five cruelty free brands at places to shop beauty in Australia (click here for Priceline). Mecca is more high end than the pharmacy, but perhaps not quite as pricey as Sephora, depending on the brands. I think Mecca is my favourite place to shop beauty.
1.Bare Minerals – my first ever foundation was the Bare Minerals Original Mineral Foundation so this brand will always have a place in my heart. However, since then I have used a blush and another foundation of theirs and loved it! To me Bare Minerals is a simple, understated yet high quality and sophisticated brand.
2.Urban Decay – this brand is most famous for their Naked eyeshadow palettes but actually have a great range of makeup. I do have a Naked Basics palette which I adore, but I think my favourite product from them is their lipstick in Sheer Liar. It is a beautiful formula. Recently, they have also become known for their concealer range.
3.Soap and Glory – although their makeup range is not yet available in Australia, I did get the chance to purchase some overseas and I love it! Their body care range is available in Mecca which I also adore as the smell is delicious. They are a very well priced brand for the quality you get. I have been very impressed.
4.Too Faced – ok, so although I am yet to purchase a Too Faced product – it is on my wishlist – the brand itself has a great reputation. They are well known for a range of products including their Chocolate Bar palette, Better Than Sex Mascara and Born This Way Foundation and Concealer.
5.Kate Somerville – I thought I would throw in a skincare brand. I have only personally tried one of her products before – the Nourish moisturiser, which I actually really like. I want to try more, but it is more on the expensive side and I am hesitant when it comes to skincare because it is unknown whether certain products will work with my skin or not. But the brand itself is highly regarded by my skincare guru Caroline Hirons and so many of her products are on my wishlist.
What are your favourite cruelty free brands as Mecca? Let me know in the comments below. I really hope you found this useful and be sure to subscribe if you would like to see the final installment in this mini series which will be my top five favourite cruelty free brands at Sephora!
