The perfect Christmas look is of course a sparkly eye and red lip. This post will show you some cruelty free products to recreate this kind of look.
Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum Foundation in 52: this is the only questionable cruelty free product in this makeup look. Unfortunately it seems they sell in China, so to me it does not count as cruelty free. But any base product will do for this look. Just make sure it lasts well.
Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer in 1 Fair: this is a great concealer. It is creamy and blends really well but should be set with a powder under the eye.
Body Shop Honey Bronzer in 01: this is a great light bronzer that will add some colour and definition to the face but not make it a bronzed look. Sweep it in a three shape along the hairline, cheekbone/just under the cheekbone and jawline. You can also use this in the eye socket to create some depth.
Tarte Amazonian Clay 12 hour Blush in Exposed: this is the perfect shade to accompany a sparkly eye and red lip. It is subtle but still brings some life back to the face. Just sweep it on the apples of the cheeks going backwards towards the hairline/ear.
The Balm Mary-Lou Manizer: this is a beautiful champagne highlighter. I say there is no such thing as too much bling on the face at Christmas time. In fact it is the perfect time to test out all those highlighters that you always want to wear but feel it’s too much everyday. Be sure to highlight along the top of the cheeks as well as the inner corner of the eyes.
Sportsgirl Wild at Heart Bronze Eye Palette: I used the third shade along in the top row. This is a beautiful silvery/green that goes really well with red lips. Use an eyeshadow brush to pack this all over the lid. Simple but beautiful.
Natio Extreme Volume Smudge Proof Mascara: you can use any mascara, but this is great at lengthening and curling. I would recommend using a waterproof or long wearing mascara because Christmas day is often very long.
Face of Australia Brow Sculpting Gel in Light/Medium: this brow gel gives a lot of colour to the brows and also holds them in place. It is light brown ashy toned colour.
I then have four cruelty free lip options depending on what you prefer.
Natio Smoothie Lip Colour Crayon in Poppy: this is a great red tinted balm. Perfect for those that don’t want to fuss around with a normal lipstick on Christmas day. It has enough colour to tint the lips a nice red.
Models Prefer Lipstick in Paris: this will give more colour than the Natio lip crayon. It is a true Cruella style red.
Ofra Liquid Lipstick in Ultimate Red: the first liquid lipstick option is a slightly more orange red. This is a great formula that will last for hours without the need for a touch up, and can be worn without worry while eating Christmas lunch.
Australis Velourlips Matte Lip Cream in Bar-tha-lona: this is a slightly pinkier red, but still a true bright red. Being a liquid lipstick it will last a lot longer than a normal lipstick and be prone to less touch-ups. However, it can be a little drying.
