Welcome to another empties post where I talk about my rubbish… I know the concept is weird but I actually love reading other people’s empties posts to get an opinion on a product based on weeks, months or years of using it. As always, not a lot of makeup is in this post as I find it hard to use up makeup products. But I did finally finish a candle!
Alchemy Unscented Very Gentle Shampoo and Conditioner for Sensitive Scalps: I agree with the statement that these were very gentle on my scalp, but I didn’t find them that effective. The shampoo left my hair quite dry so then I had to use a butt load of conditioner to soften my hair again. I wouldn’t repurchase these.
Urban Decay Naked Skin Beauty Balm: this was underwhelming. It was a little travel size I bought I think in 2015 but didn’t use a lot. It smelt really weird and it made me look kind of orange. I didn’t use this up but it was time to get rid of it.
Organic Blossom Lip Balm: this was a really nice lip balm, nothing special but did leave my lips really moisturised. Although I didn’t quite use it all up, it was quite old and the scent had changed, so I thought it was time to let it go.
Body Shop Frosted Plum Body Butter: this has been my favourite Body Shop Body Butter scent I have ever used, which is a big statement for me because I love a lot of their body butters. This was a Christmas scent from 2015 that I didn’t use until winter 2016. It was a beautiful delicate fruity scent. I really hope they bring it out again.
Glasshouse Bora Bora candle: this was a beautiful gift from my uni friends in 2015, but it took me such a long time to burn through it. It smells gorgeous. A lovely, strong, citrus, fresh scent that lingers a long time after burning. After I get through a few more of my other candles, I probably would repurchase this for the future.
Soap and Glory Ultimelt Hot Cloth Cleanser: although this cleanser was effective at removing makeup and dirt from my face I really didn’t like the faff of using a cloth to remove it. I am that lazy.
Body Shop Spa Wisdom Polynesia Lotus and Frangipani Flower Body Lotion: I had this body lotion for ages but always seemed to save it for special occasions. However, I recently changed my mind towards this issue and have decided to use the things I like otherwise there’s no point in having them. So I finally used this product up and it was divine.
Have you tried any of these products? What did you think of them? I would love to know in the comments below.
Thanks so much for reading, Christina xo
