Hello! Valentines is fast approaching and in order to cover every occasion I have collated cruelty free makeup products for two different makeup looks. The first look would be more appropriate for a night out with a flawless base and red lip. The second look (which I will post tomorrow, so make sure you’re subscribed!) is more subtle and soft with rosy lips and cheeks.
I started with my Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum foundation in 52 Vanilla (see my post here about the cruelty status of Bourjois and why I will no longer be purchasing from this brand, however it was the fullest coverage foundation I currently own which is why I have featured it here). This will provide a flawless base. I used a buffing brush to work this into the skin, making sure to blend down my neck. I then applied the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer in 1 Fair for under the eyes and any spots. This is a fantastic concealer and is a bit lighter than my skin tone which is great for brightening under the eyes. I then set my base products with the Soap and Glory One Heck of a Blot Translucent Powder. This is a great powder that mattifies without making you look flat of cakey.
For blush I used my Tarte Amazonian Clay 12 Hour Blush in Exposed, which is a great mauve nude that goes with a lot of makeup looks. It adds life to my face without adding a strong distinct colour on my cheeks. The highlight I used is The Balm Mary Lou Manizer which is a beautiful champagne. I added this along my cheekbone as well as in the inner corner of my eyes. For my lipstick I used the Ofra Long Lasting Liquid Lipstick in Ultimate Red. A red lip creates a classic ‘Valentines’ look. The liquid lipstick formula will help the colour last while eating or drinking.
I finished off my makeup with the Natio Extreme Volume Smudge Proof Mascara in Brown Black, the Anastasia Beverley Hills Brow Wiz in Soft Brown and the Australis Tint My Brow in Light Brown.
So those are the cruelty free makeup products that can create a ‘classic’ Valentines Day look with a flawless base and red lip.
