Budget Beauty Favourites: Part 2! – Affordable April

Welcome to the final post in Affordable April! I really hope you enjoyed this month of posts focused on affordable, cruelty free beauty and found it helpful. This post is on my favourite (and I think the best, or at least awesome) budget beauty products for eyes and lips.

Essence Long Lasting Eye Pencil in 19 Hot Scorch: this is a stunning metallic copper eye liner that really makes my green/blue eyes pop – also it’s a twist up, which I love.

Colourpop Super Shock Shadow in Mixed Tape: I adore this eyeshadow because it is the perfect taupe colour with a sheen finish that can be worn alone (and look gorgeous) or as a base.

Essence Make Me Brow in 01 Blondybrows: I quite like this eyebrow gel because the colour is cool toned, the wand is small so doesn’t put too much product on the browsΒ and it is super easy.

Soap and Glory Thick and Fast Mascara in Film Noir: this mascara gives me stunning lashes that look so much thicker and longer and it doesn’t flake throughout the day (although can be a little clumpy if you are not careful).

Colourpop Ultra Matte Lip in Viper: although this looks like a super hot pink in the tube, it does come out darker, which makes for a gorgeous vampy pink lip that lasts for an extremely long time.

Essence Matt Matt Matt in 02 Perfect Match: although a new discovery, this lipstick has been my life recently because it is a perfect mauve/nude shade that is matte but not drying and lasts a decent while (and fades nicely as well).

NYX Retractable Lip Liner in Nude/Diaphane: not much to say about this lip liner except it is the perfect nude and goes on creamy but lasts a long time.

Models Prefer Lipstick in New York: this is a gorgeous nude/pink colour in a creamy/sheen finish that just looks gorgeous.

Colourpop Lippie Stix in Lumiere (matte): I love this lipstick mainly because of the colour, it is a gorgeous slightly dark mauve but also because it is long lasting and so comfortable to wear.

Do you have any of these products? Do you love them? Let me know in the comments below.

Thanks so much for reading, Christina xo

  1. I LOVE colourpop products. They’re such good quality and extremely affordable. It’s amazing. And I’ve actually never tried anything from essence but I’ve been wanting to try out a mascara from them for some time now. Just can’t get my hands on it hahaha. You had some awesome beauty favorites! Great post and blog babe βœ¨πŸ’„πŸ’–
