What’s In My Makeup Bag – Cruelty Free

Hello! I have seen these posts and videos in the beauty community for a very long time now but have never done one! So today I am going to show you what is currently in my makeup bag. This is unedited, so there’s quite a lot of stuff in there… I hope it gives you some cruelty free product recommendations and insights! Let’s go!

Let’s start with brushes. Normally I wouldn’t actually keep brushes in my makeup bag, but I had taken this bag away with me for the weekend so I had put them in there. For foundation I like to use the Real Techniques Expert Face Brush. For blush and bronzer I use two Body Shop brushes. For eyes my absolute favourite is the Eco Tools eyeshadow brush. Finally I have this little powder brush which I have no idea where I got it from, but it is good for powder and highlight.

Moving onto face products. I like to have a liquid and powder foundation in my makeup bag. At the moment I am trying to use up my Clinique foundation, which is really good, but not cruelty free. For powder foundation I love the Tarte Amazonian Clay Airbush foundation. I also have a sample of the Too Faced Born This Way foundation which I have been testing out. My concealer is of course the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer. For powder and highlight I have the beautiful Hourglass Ambient Lighting Trio. Just gorgeous. A gorgeous blush for all year round which I usually keep in my makeup bag is the Tarte Amazonian Clay 12 Hour Blush in Captivating which is a beautiful pinky coral. Finally I have been loving this Zoeva The Basic Moment face palette which contains a blush, highlight and bronzer. Just perfect to have on the go.

Ah lip products. From left to right we have Korres Lip Butter in Quince (a balmy/glossy pink), Marc Jacobs New Nudes in Understudy (nude/pink), Natio Lip Smoothie in Poppy (bright coral tint), NYX Liquid Suede in Soft-Spoken (mauve/nude), NYX Butter Gloss in Creme Brulee (subtle pink gloss), Tarte Amazonian Butter Lipstick in Coral Blossom (bright coral) and Bite Beauty Ambuse Bouche Lipstick in Sake (purple/mauve).

The only other things not photographed very well/grouped together were eye products. I had the brow gel from Essence, mascara from Soap and Glory and Super Shock Eyeshadow from Colourpop in Weenie.

So that is what is in my makeup bag! It could probably be cut down a bit, but it inevitably grows again over time. Do you have any of these products? What do you think of them?

I hope you found this helpful and thanks for reading, Christina xo
