Hello! Following on from my Morning Skincare Routine a little while ago, here is my Nighttime Skincare Routine! It has one more step than my morning routine (so four in total), but I have more product options that I use depending on what my skin is doing. So let’s get into it!
I always start with cleanser. I forgot to show it here, but if I am wearing makeup I will use the Body Shop Chamomile Oil Cleanser followed by my normal cleanser. But if I am not wearing any makeup, or only minimal makeup, I will go straight in with my favourite Dermalogica Special Cleansing Gel. It it such a great, gentle but effective cleanser.
For toner I have a choice between the Pixi Glow Tonic and Lush Eau Roma Water. The reason for this lies in what the different toners do. The Pixi Glow Tonic is an exfoliating toner that I prefer to use when my skin has a bit of texture or some spots. The Lush Eau Roma Water is a hydrating soothing toner that I like to use when my skin feels tight, or sensitive.
I then use a ‘treatment’. So at the moment this rotates between: Indeed Labs Hydraluron serum for intense hydration; the B. Confident Blemish serum for spotty days; or the Body Shop Oils of Life oil for all round hydration, plumping and nourishment. This is the step that changes the most not only between these three products, but depending on the time of year I might swap one of these out for another treatment product.
Finally, I always finish with a moisturiser. At the moment I am using and loving the First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream. It is a super simple, effective, no fuss moisturiser. It is pretty hydrating, but not super thick. This means I can use it not only at night but also during the day if I don’t need an SPF.
