First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream: Review

Hello! Welcome to another product review. Today’s post is on one of my favourite skincare products, the First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream. I thought I would go into detail today about why I love it and what’s good about it.

First Aid Beauty was established in 2009 on the ethics of ‘real solutions for real skin’, ‘ingredients with integrity’ and ‘maximum results with minimal irritation’. They are also cruelty free. I have tried a few products from this brand and I honestly have enjoyed all of them. I find them very simple, gentle and effective on my skin.

The Ultra Repair Cream is allergy tested and fragrance free. It can be used all over the body and on the face. I tend to apply it to my face at night, although I have used it as an all over body moisturiser when traveling. It claims to be intense hydration for dry skin and safe for sensitive skin. I would personally agree with this. I have fairly normal skin which can get dry and dehydrated and can also be sensitive. I find this cream really agrees with my skin, hydrating it effectively without being at all irritating.

In terms of ingredients, the first five listed are: Water, Stearic Acid (a fatty acid), Glycerin (colourless, odourless, moisturising compound), C12-15 Alkyl Benzoate (an emollient) and Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride (emollient from coconut oil and glycerin). Although seemingly incoherent chemical lingo, the main thing to draw from these ingredients (after some Googling) is that they all have moisturising properties. This means the cream really packs a moisture punch.

You can buy First Aid Beauty in Australia at Sephora. I will leave a link here if you want to check it out. This biggest size retails for $57 AUD. Although a little pricey, this tube has lasted me for a very long time so I do think it is good value.

Although no skincare expert, I would highly recommend this product for anyone looking for a simple, effective, gentle moisturiser.

Have you used the Ultra Repair Cream before? What did you think of it? I hope you found this helpful and informative. Be sure to check back for another product review very soon!

Thanks so much for reading, Christina xo
