Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant: Product Review

Hey! Today’s post is another product review but this time on the Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant. I feel like product reviews are helpful but only for specific products, so let me know in the comments if you like these posts or if there are any specific cruelty free products you would like a review on.

From the Dermalogica Website: “Unique Rice-based powder formula activates upon contact with water, releasing Papain, Salicylic Acid and Rice Enzymes that micro-exfoliate dead cells, instantly leaving skin smoother and brighter.”

I have been using the Daily Microfoliant for a couple of months now and absolutely love it! It honestly makes my skin so smooth and soft after every use. You know sometimes you use a product and it feels great but then the next time it doesn’t work as well. This is not one of those products. IT WORKS EVERY SINGLE TIME!

It is a powder form that you mix with a little bit of water and rub into your face for about a minute. I don’t tend to use this daily, but maybe once a week. I think why this product works so well is that it is a physical exfoliant (it’s a little bit gritty but not too harsh at all) and chemical as it contains salicylic acid.

The first five ingredients listed are: Microcrystalline Cellulose (fancy name for refined wood pulp used as a binding agent and texturiser); Magnesium Oxide (mineral PH adjuster); Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate (coconut fatty acid that cleanses and lathers); Sodium Lauroyl Glutamate (gentle cleanser derived from an amino acid, fatty acid and sodium); Collodial Oatmeal (finely ground oatmeal good for itchy and irritated skin).

I would highly recommend this product! I think it is great. I have the 13g container which costs $22.50 and can be found on the Dermalogcia website here.

Thanks so much for reading! Christina xo
