The 10 balm by Indeed Labs has quickly become one of my favourite moisturisers. It seems like such a simple moisturiser but feels super nourishing and calming. It’s designed to soothe and heal sensitive skin, and I have to agree, I do feel like it does that.
It’s free from phthalates, parabens, sulfates, fragrance, colourants, drying alcohols and mineral oil – from the Indeed Labs website.
It’s called 10 balm because it contains ten of ‘nature’s most powerful healing ingredients’ which are honey (soothes, smoothes and moisturises), propolis (heals), royal jelly (fights aging and inflammation), arnica (is antiseptic, antibacterial and anti inflammatory), bisabolol (soothes and heals), allantoin (stimulates cell turnover), vitamin e (protects from damage), buriti oil (contains vitamin c) and baobab seed oil (nourishes) – from the Indeed Labs website.
However, the top 5 ingredients in the 10 balm are: water, glycerin (moisturises and plumps), soybean oil (is an emollient and antioxidant), acacia decurrens/jojoba/sunflower seed wax/polyglycer-YL-3 esters (smoothes and protects from dehydration) and caprylic/capric triglyceride (an emollient).
So even though it contains these amazing ten natural healing and soothing ingredients, the top five are actually different ingredients, but still have similar properties to the big ten. This is a little disappointing considering the name of the product, but I still think it’s ingredients are good.
Overall, I think it’s an amazing product full of great soothing ingredients. It does wonders at soothing my skin whenever it’s irritated and is generally a joy to use. I would highly recommend.
